Psychiatry resident Karl Gerritse conducted research on shared decision-making in transgender healthcare, studying the ethical and conceptual challenges that arise in this field. For me there was the task to fit this research in a soothing design, with illustrations from artist Rkiiita used in the cover and chapter opening pages. I aimed to make sure the research is visually appealing and accessible to a wider audience, helping to raise awareness of this important topic.
